Daniel as a forename is not popular in Scotland. Many great in accordance with Douglas Scott of BC, Canada, Dand Ellot was banished from both Kingdoms in 1607, then shows up as Daniel Elliott, in Tullykelter, Co. Had a relative to a George Soul who’s ancestor those Armstrong may have melted in lead at Ninestanerig, 9 stone ridge. Did not seem to care much for this Soulis either. The Douglas and Armstrong seem to like, and this Douglas Scott who is from BC, Canada is active with the Hoik-Hawick Archaeological Society, and has this younger brother who is active also, and sings Scottish Ballads with this group called Scocha (Scott-Chapman), do not know being an elk-moose if I care for his middle name of Hunter, though I think he also is weary of the hunter.

From a genetic point of view, it is very difficult to find out who the Russian Tsars and Princes really were, since even in the official data it is clear that the tsars were replaced in childhood. And a very vivid example is the Russian Tsar Peter 1, either he was replaced by the “Germans” in Moscow at the time of his birth, then he is actually the son of a Georgian prince, then he was changed for the third time during a trip to Western Europe. Genealogy is Family History;

This is dedicated to the religious pioneers in genealogy, which migration through the United Kingdom utilizing the Brigham UK surname as an example, as symbolized by the Brigham pioneers of 1847 immigrating down Immigration Canyon into the valley of  The Great Salt Lake.  Where today is found the genealogical Family History Library Salt Lake City, Utah, based on the concept of record search and sharing to find family.

Basic rules I found helpful in family research are;

1. The family knows best.
2. Listen to others, especially of the opposite sex, to make family.
3. Do not in a family search, get rid of the in-laws, though you may want to.
4. Families fight, and likely not just one answer is correct, in the history.
5. If genealogy is done properly one does not get to pick their ancestors.

The Irwin are family to my family of Elliot. Irwin, Elliot, and Johnston, are a family of name spellings coming from Ulster, north Ireland originating on the Scottish-English border. They are Border Families;

Though landholders historically supported the Scottish catholic Queen, in order to retain their land, they supported the Scottish Protestant son, which became king of England also.

Middle and West March families were quite close.

One can see the number comparisons of Johnston, Armstrong, and Elliott in County Ulster, Ireland, which today the surnames are in the top 5 for the county.

Clans; Armstrong, Elliott, Nixon, and Crozier, are a close family of Middle March Clans. When there were the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, they were a family living on the border, and not of either kingdom; ‘a law onto themselves’.

Family naming;

Dad Loren Spencer Elliott, has a twin sister Lois, so twins were named using the first letter of their first name a like. Lois and Loren. Dad’s mother’s maiden name is Spencer, which he uses as middle name.

Mark Stephen Elliott (myself), his oldest son received his name from both grandfathers.

First name was from father’s father, Mark Elliott, he received his first name by a family surname of Mark which were are related to.

Which my father Loren Spencer Elliott, still living contributed his family research to the Mesa Family History Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints;

Mom’s father was Stephen Peter Barna, where I receive my middle name Peter from;

As one can on his US WWII draft registration card 1942, that he was born in Kesmark, Slovakia. Since he died when I was at age 2, the grandfather I knew was Mark (no middle name) Elliott, which was a farmer in Rice Township, Ringgold County, Iowa, three miles south of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, named ‘Ayr’ for the home place of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Mother Alma Barna Elliott was born and raised in the city of Troy, New York. Her mother’s family a ‘Ryan’ were from south Ireland.
