It is felt that Robert de Lawis, could be Robert Elwald of a region of Lawis, which is felt to be north of the Hermitage Castle on the Hermitage Hill in 1376.

Should be noted now feel that Ermydoune (army fort), is a region named for the Ermytag (Hermitage) as being and army fort.
